Ed Markey

Ed Markey is a former special education teacher turned psychedelics enthusiast. His goal is to help shine a light on the emerging potential of psychedelics to help improve people’s lives–focusing especially on writing in-depth pieces, research based, to help educate those interested in how psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine, and more can potentially help improve mental health (when taken in conjunction with medical supervision, in states where it is legal to do so)..

Dr. Ankush Patel

Dr. Ankush Patel MBBCh BAO LRCP & SI (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ireland), an academic physician with specialty interest in pathology, is driven to write for his peers of all circles by the same philosophy that drives him to write for the organizations he cares most about: the objective to provide high-quality, unbiased information that may be used to meet anyone where they are at in their journey, and carry them forward into wherever they seek to go next. In both academia and in the mainstream, there exists a sea of content that can be hard to sift through. With many providing a perspective or an opinion, his perspective is one that is steadfastly objective, particularly when writing for those who seek a resource that may serve to educate. Seeing this perspective shared by the like-minded team of individuals at “the psychedelic” is what drew him to offer his background in medicine and science writing for their cause: as part of a team he deeply respects, for an audience of readers who he deeply cares about.

Patrick has written stories for newsprint, shot video for television news and got his start covering biofuels and soil science for a climate magazine. Originally from South Dakota, Pat earned a pair of journalism degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and now resides in Colorado..
